Rob Wood recently spoke at Knowledge Quarter’s Masterclass, in partnership with Artic Building Services. BOSS CONTROLS has been working in partnership with Artic Building Services for many years, and one of our sites is the Building Medical Association, where the talk took place on 2nd December 2021.
BOSS CONTROLS and Artic Building Services were joined by other like-minded businesses, who together shared their repertoire of sustainability and carbon reduction design strategies. Rob explained how the audience could reduce carbon emissions from their buildings and estates and asked the audience some important questions.
How old is your BMS controls system?
If you are responsible for a legacy BMS controls system, which has been superseded by newer technology, it is likely that device failure may present operational risk. Modern technology operates more efficiently with smart strategies to manage your buildings’ energy consumption. BOSS CONTROLS’ performs fully specified hardware upgrades including replacing sensors, actuators, frequency inverters – this includes control panel upgrades.
Has your building occupancy and usage evolved over the years?
If so, your current BMS system may not be calibrated to suit the latest optimized occupancy patterns, leading to wasting energy or failure to achieve the desired set points. Our BMS expert engineers will amend your BMS control strategy to align with your current building usage, saving you money on running costs and delivery, a more comfortable and productive building
